FARMINGTON, NM – Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (“NAPI”) will observe the re-issuing of the 57-hour weekend lockdown across the Navajo Nation beginning September 22.
NAPI’s Region 2 Store, located on the farm, will be closed on Saturdays until further notice. The store will continue to operate from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the last purchase for hay/forage at 4:30 p.m. NAPI’s Region 2 Store sells Navajo Pride forage, livestock feed, and food.
Since March 17, several modifications were made at Region 2 Store as precautionary measures due to COVID-19. The changes include selling the hay by the bale – rather than the weight, providing a walk-up window for all purchases, and separating the sales of products. All customers and employees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
NAPI’s management will continue to closely monitor the updates for COVID-19 and follow the requirements ordered by the Navajo Nation government. Currently, NAPI’s Main Office and Farm Center operation are closed to the public until further notice.
