Whole Foods Market awards Navajo Pride Organics with Supplier of the Year

Navajo Agricultural Products Industry (NAPI)/Navajo Pride Organics was recognized as “Supplier of the Year” for the Rocky Mountain region by Whole Foods Market on May 24. The suppliers were celebrated for “outstanding innovation, environmental stewardship, commitment to regenerative agriculture and more.”

Aaron Benally, Director of Organics says, “What’s unique about our watermelon crop is we’re owned by the Navajo Nation.” He continues to say that the workforce is key to having quality and yield from the crops. Jarrell DeGroat, Crop Manager says, “Our goal for the future is to continue Navajo farming practices, growing superior Navajo Pride products, and continuing sustainable farming for generations to come.”
